The Hub’s Sunlight Café offers a happy & friendly environment for people affected by dementia, whether you are going through it or helping someone who, is the café is a great place to come, have a chat, coffee and light lunch.

If you have a relative or friend with dementia or know of a neighbour please let them know or even bring them along.

TLC Creative Projects for Children 

We are taking bookings for our Creative Projects for Children

6 – 11 year old group

Fridays 3pm!

7th June – Polymer Clay Buttons;

Where you will explore textures, patterns, shapes and sizes of buttons. We will then create our own buttons out of clay.

14th June – Polymer Clay Jewellery;

You will use the buttons from the previous week to make button jewellery.

21st June – Button Pictures;

You will be making button pictures, discussing how lots of small acts in life can create a big difference.

28th June – Cupcake ceramic banks;

You will research cupcakes and draw out designs ready to paint and decorate our ceramic banks.

This is a great group to pick up modelling skills, design skill, craft skills and to work as part of a team.

Payments should be made while booking your childs place.

£3.50 per week or £12 per block.

Completing these will give us an idea of what the people of Stoneyburn & Bents like and/or dislike about your village. It will help to see what concerns the residents so we can try our best to help and also see what the good points are and focus on maintaining them.

Reminder of the Fauldhouse Footers Group.
Walks are held weekly, on Thursdays, meeting at 10am at the Fauldhouse Community Development Trust, 10 Main Street. Walks are moderate and suit most abilities. There are around 7 to 10 walkers attending normally.
New members welcome to come along and enjoy the walk.

Just a reminder of up and coming films screening at The Hub as part of our kids & general Cinema Clubs!

‘Les Miserables’, Part of the General Cinema Club and a great musical drama, it will be showing on Thursday the 30th of May and will be at 6.30pm!

‘Annie’, Our Kids Cinema club will be showing Annie on Friday the 31st of May at 1.30pm sharp, Tuck Available (from 30p)

‘Quartet’, Our General Cinema Club will be showing Quartet, a great music based film which will be viewing on Thursday the 13th of June at 7pm sharp!

‘Despicable Me’, A great film for the Kids Cinema Club and sure to bring some laughs, it will be on Friday the 21st of June at 1.30pm (Tuck Available)

The Hub Cinema Club for adults is starting again with a great musical drama ‘Les Miserables’ which has a few big stars including Rusell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway!
Its on Thursday 30th of May at 6.30pm Sharp!

Followed the next again month by ‘Quartet’ another music based film with stars like Billy Connelly and Maggie Smith,
This will be on Thursday 13th of June at 7pm!

The Hub Kids Cinema Club will be on Friday 31st of May,
The film on show will be ‘Annie’, A great musical film for a great musical month as its the music festival!
The show will be at 1.30pm sharp, tuck also available from 1.15pm (approximately 30p)
If you want to attend and aren’t yet a member then memberships are £24 per year or 12 payments of £2.

FCDT are currently undertaking a community consultation for Stoneyburn & Bents Future Vision Group (S&BFVG). Questionnaires will be posted through Stoneyburn & Bents resident’s doors very soon.

The information provided by residents will be used, with your help, to make social, economic and environmental improvements to the village.

There will be:-

• information events (see dates and venues below)
• collection boxes for you to return your completed questionnaires. They will be located at local venues and shops including the Stoneyburn Health Centre, Stoneyburn Community Centre, Day to Day Grocers, U Save Grocers, Meadow Flowers, James White Chemist and the Post Office.
