Anne Mooney (one of the directors of FCDT) presents Ms Purvis (a volunteer with the Red Cross on the day) with the 1st prize in the raffle.
We held our Annual Street Fair on Saturday 3rd of September.
In spite of the wet weather there was a good turnout on the day. We had a variety of stalls on the village green offering advice, information, freebies and raffles. In the shelter of the FCDT building we had face painting and kids crafts with a bouncy castle, refreshments and further stalls available at St Andrews Church Hall.
Thanks to everyone who braved the soggy conditions to attend and support the event!

Fauldhouse CDT has been working with West Lothian Council Sports Development and Falla Hill Primary School to raise funds for a MUGA (multi use games area) behind the school which will provide better play and sports facilities for the school and a well-lit and safe recreation area for the community to use in the evenings, weekends and school holidays.
Funds have come from The Levenseat Trust, Awards for All, West Lothian Community Health Grants, West Lohtian Council Sports Grants and The Banks Community Fund.
As you can see from the photos, work began in May 2011 and we will be organising a launch event in the autumn.

FCDT is happy to announce that we have now moved back into our newly refurbished building and we are all settling in well. Our official opening night was a great success and it was an honour to have Isobel McKnight cut the ribbon and open the building on behalf of her late husband Wullie, a founding member of the FCDT.
We welcome all members of the public to come in and have a look around and take advantage of the new services the FCDT are now providing, including; under 5′s soft-play, free internet access, printing service and weekly food co op.
We are also pleased to welcome back Breich Valley Information Services, who will be operating within the building on a daily basis and the Credit Union, which will return to the FCDT building on Fri 27th May and will be available every Friday (12 – 2).
We are also looking for volunteers to assist in manning the building and helping with the Food Co op. If you have a few hours spare during the week , sign up and help your local community, all help will be greatly appreciated.
Weekly Food Co op will be available every Friday between 10 – 2.
