Community Garden

Project Update Dec 2010

FCDT has selected City Design Cooperative to conduct the technical feasibility study for two sites in Fauldhouse. The first is the blaes pitch and surroundings at Falla Hill Primary School, where we hope to house the proposed woodfcraft facility and other features, possibly raised beds and so on.

The second site is detailed below and will be primarily for the establishment of community gardens. Thanks to John O’Callaghan and James Ford for all their hard work so far.

To enable us to make the project and activities successful and sustainable, we need you, the community to get more involved. Our community members and volunteers will be getting trained in community participatory appraisal techniques early in the New Year, starting Wednesday, January 12th, 2011, 103oam, at the Fauldhouse Partnership Centre. Vikki Hilton Associates will be supporting the process and esnuring those involved have the right techniques and mentoring to succeed. If you would like to get involved in the training and to support the enegagement activity, please contact us as soon as possible.
